Christian van Es - Musicus - Zanger

Biography

Christian van Es (High Baritone) was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At an early age he came into contact with classical music. He began his musical training as a member of a boys choir at the age of eight. During that time he participated in solo appearances as a boy`s soprano. 

 

In Rotterdam Christian followed a two-year previous training at the Rotterdams Conservatorium (The Rotterdam college of music). In 2000 he switched and began his singing training at the Brabants Conservatorium (The Brabant college of music) in Tilburg. In february of 2005 he graduated in the order of chamber music by performing The Caffee Cantate of J.S. Bach and the opera A Hand of Bridge of Samuel Barber.  In May 2005 he graduated with Schumann's Song Cycle 'Myrten' His piano accompaigner was the English Pianist Kelvin Grout. His Teacher was Frans Fiselier.

 

Christian is a regular performer in concerts, divine services, cantatas, oratorios and operas.

Christian participated in several Masterclasses among others the Argentine mezzo-soprano Bernarda Fink and her English pianist Roger Vignoles and also with Constantin Nica!

 

Christian participates with Cappella Amsterdam conducted by Daniel Reuss and with several other ensembles.

 

In January 2011 the first release of Christian`s new  Cd with the sacred songs of J.S. Bach is presented. Gerard van der Zijden participates as an Organist. Want to buy it?
